Recently there was something going on in my life that could have turned out to be very serious… or, absolutely nothing.
I had that lack of peace associated with fear. Before I went to bed for another sleepless night, my mom sent me a text message that said something to the effect of, “God is on His throne in Heaven and that makes everything just as it should be.”
Those were the most comforting words that I could have imagined. No matter our circumstance, even if this issue in my life had turned out to be a catastrophe, even if my life had changed forever, I had the peace that God alone is in charge.
It may not take away heartache or pain, but that fact makes everything fundamentally right in my world.
Hebrews 4:16 says that we can approach God on His throne and we will receive grace and mercy in our time of need.
So REST, dear friends. God is on His throne and that makes everything alright.
